SABRA

Chakchouka

ingredients

  • 5 green bell peppers.
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 3 to 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of Sabra Double Concentrated Tomato Paste.
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • olive oil
  • 1-2 teaspoons Harissa or Hrous Sabra
  • 1 teaspoon of Tabel-Karouia turmeric. .
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

1. Cut onion and peppers into thin strips, then sauté in olive oil over high heat for 5 minutes.

2. Add the diced tomato, salt, pepper, Double Concentrated Tomato Paste, Harissa (or Hrous) and spices. Pour in 1/2 glass of water, and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.

3. At the last minute of cooking, add the crushed garlic. Mix well, then gently break in the eggs without stirring. Cover and simmer for a few minutes.
